MASTHEAD

The wide Weser river passes through the city of Bremen. I went through an allotment garden area right up to banks. Then I ascended from down there up to the street which is behind the inner dike. The inner dike protects the allotment garden areas against flood. (The main dike is several hundred metres towards the city.

This main dike, which is called Osterdeich, protects the city against flood.) Then I descended to the river again. I took a lot of photographs of the ascent and the descent. I finally photographed some details which I found remarkable.

Twigs and reeds had been washed abank by the last flood.

In this place twigs and reeds had been washed up notably close to the dike top by the last flood.
