ABOUT THIS WEBSITE

MASTHEAD

The editor has recently been staying in the suburb Kattenturm-Mitte for two days. When he did that, he wrote a report about the open space at the end of the Gorsemann Road. This report is part of the new printed special issue Nr. 5 of 'Klein Mexiko'.

The editor also took the following photographs of silent witnesses which report on the social atmosphere which is sometimes being rough in this suburb.

This is an apartment tower in Kattenturm. At the bottom of the picture you see the canopy of the entrance area.

Please note the result of an impact in the roofing.

The cavity of a sculpture, which had been forced open(?), was filled with waste.

A demolished garbage can

A private organic waste collection bin

This is a control box, which was decorated with the picture of a tree probably by a nursery class.

The inscription on the small side of the box says 'Please don't destroy the picture'.

Please also read Charlie Dittmeier's report on privatized garbage collection in Phnom Penh.
