The internationally acting car industry is one of the most powerful branches of the economy in Germay. This might is also reflected in imposing buildings of their dealerships.
I photographed some of these almost intimidading buildings in Bremen.
In order to get attuned please take a look at this photograph of the company grounds of a used car dealer.
The lodge with the signboard doesn't appear intimidating.
The picture shows a partial view of a big car dealership.
Please note the entrance in shape of a turret.
There is a huge canopy in front of the entrance of this big car dealership.
The vanishing lines at the right-hand side show the size of the building.
The front of this car dealership appears like a wall made from oversized stones.
Please note the curved lines.
This picture shows a big hall where cars are washed.
Passersbys can partially watch the activities.
This is the sidewall of a long building of a car dealership.
The flags emphasize the impressive size of the wall.
The entrance of this car dealership is surrounded by a big portal.
This portal is reminiscent of gigantic ashlar rocks.
This phtograph shows a part of an extended canopy which is in front of the greater part of the façade of a car dealership.
The building would naturally look less prestigious without that canopy.
This photograph shows the size of a used car center.
The pillar in the middle is almost a military standard.
