All that grows grows silently.
From a Christian meditation book Last autumn I bought a tuber of organic ginger. The tuber was about ten centimetres by five. I only cut off a small piece. I put the rest of it on the kitchen cupboard among other junk. Early in this year I took a look at the tuber again. The tuber was shriveled a little. But there was also a young shoot. It was about four centimetres and looked like a little reed. My girlfriend planted the tuber. She put the flowerpot on the window seat in her kitchen. Nothing happened. The shoot didn't grow, but it also didn't perish. In March my girlfriend moved into her rooms in our little house. |
 The flowerpot is in my room now. For a few days now there is something like another young shoot. It grows very slowly.
